Couple of generic points you can consider.

 

1)make sure you get the documents related to universe design & reports.

2) check what are the activities you have to perform as a report developer. you need to fixes only reporting issues or in case of universe changes where you have to do the changes and deployment path. Who will deploy the reports in production after some changes and what is the process you have to follow before moving changes in the production.

3) what are the frequent issues coming in reporting prospective.

4) To whom you have to contact is case of BO Admin issues.

5) To whom you have to contact for database or data related issues.

6) in case of reports scheduling  need to check how reports are scheduling, frequency and destination.

7) is there any excel or third part files are used for reports. if yes then how frequently you have replace the files and how.

8) You can ask typical issues which are coming frequently and how they have resolved.

 

Last if you will perform the support  activities as a shadow resource  for couple of days then you will get the better idea about issues/fixes.
