Hi Vidhi
Absences in IT 2001 are processed during data entry - counted for absence hrs or days as per counting rules), these hrs are deducted from the quota entitlement balances in IT 2006 records (of the abs quota types relevant to the absence type and in the sequence - as configured), the IT 2001 record, PTQUODED table & IT 2006 records are updated. At the time you save IT 2001, it will accordingly show the abs.days/hrs.
Time eval schema/process:
-This has nothing to do with this function above of updating IT 2006 from IT 2001.
- IT 7, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2011 are read only to appropriately process the different times of each day i.e., normal attendance, absence, overtime, substitution, etc. This results in appropriate time wage types and time types. This may also result in counting time off in lieu (instead of OT pay w/t), which is then used to generate TOIL quota.
- QUOTA function generates abs quota and creates IT 2006 records. If existing IT 2006 record has validity period which covers the validity of the new generation (as in the case of end date = 31.12.9999), it will update the existing IT 2006 with the current hrs/days of new entitlement.
- You can have a PCR after the QUOTA function to limit the abs quota hrs/days balance - this is used in some client installations.
I'd recommend your refreshing the time management process/config guide and HR data maintenance guide..
