getRows() will fetch you only the rows that are loaded at DOM. So, as others suggested it's better to use a formatter, since we can toggle the Boolean value based on model value.
Let us know the reason, why you don't want to use a formatter for your scenario. If it is a hard requirement, then we will have to check for an alternative solution which involves lots of coding.
